Work History

*In Feb/2012 the occurrence was moved 890 m to the southeast and renamed the Buck in order to represent in-situ mineralization discovered by Ethos Capital Corp during the summer of 2011.

Staked as Folly cl 23-32 (Y43021), cl 45-54 (Y43043), cl 67-76 (Y43065) and cl 89-98 (Y43089) in Nov/69 and Rain cl 1-9 (Y53507) in Jun/70 by Brewster Lake Mines Ltd. The northern half of the claim block appears to have been staked overtop claims staked earlier by Marguerite Mines Ltd (Minfile Occurrence #115J 070). Brewster Lake carried out reconnaissance scale, grid soil sampling and prospecting programs in 1970.

Restaked as Indra cl 1-18 (YB46916) in Jun/94 by J.P. Ross, who did not carry out any work on the claims.

Prime Properties staked Hiho cl 1-3 (YC09898) and Hiho cl 4-24 (YC13901) 2 km to the east in Mar/99 and subsequently optioned the claims to Prospector International Resources Inc which carried out geochemical sampling later that year.  In Sep/2001 the company changed its name to Prospector Consolidated Resources Inc.

S. Ryan staked Flush cl 1-6 (YC60340) 1.5 km to the northeast in Apr/2007 and collected a line of soil samples in Jul/2008.

Restaked within Betty cl 1-564 (YD96501) in Sep/2010 by S. Ryan. On November 30/2010, Ethos Capital Corp optioned a 100% interest in the the claims from Ryan. The company added Betty cl 565-730 (YC133355)  to the north and west sides of the claim block in Dec/2010.

Ethos Capital carried out “first pass” ridge and spur soiling, reconnaissance scale prospecting and geological mapping  programs during the early part of the  2011 field season. As assay  results were received, crews followed up anomalous results with detailed, grid based soil sampling. In Jul/2011 the company flew an airborne magnetic and radiometric survey over the entire claim block. Geophysical and geochemical anomalies were trenched and sampled.

In Aug/2011 the company added Betty claims 731-860 (YE21301) to the east side of the claim block.

GEOLOGY

The area was reconnaissance mapped by D. Templeman-Kluit in 1974. Gordey and Makepeace (2003) released a geological compilation that covered this area. In 2006, M. Colpron of the Yukon Geological Survey released a Tectonic Assemblage map which included this portion of the Yukon-Tanana Terrane. Recently J. Ryan, C. Roots and others employed by the Geological Survey of Canada have been conducting geological mapping in the area as part of a joint project with the Yukon Geological Survey. Various maps and other products are tentatively scheduled to be pubically released in 2012.

The Betty property presently comprises 860 claims and is located east of Britannia Creek in west-central Yukon. The northern half of the property is underlain by metamorphic rocks which Gordey and Makepeace assigned to the Devonian to Mississippian Nasina assemblage. Recent work by J. Ryan suggests that these rocks likely belong to the slightly younger Permian aged Klondike Schist assemblage. The southern half of the property is intruded by mid-Cretaceous granodiorite assigned to the Dawson Range batholith.

Both the old and new occurrence sites are underlain by mid-Cretaceous granodiorite assigned to the Dawson Range batholith. The original occurrence site appears to represent the center of weak copper soil anomaly (~ 40 ppm), measuring approximately 90 by 40 m in size, located in the southeast corner of the claim block.

Prospector International identified an area of weakly anomalous arsenic (up to 143.4 ppm), antimony (to 10.36 ppm) and molybdenum (to 4.42 ppm) soil geochemistry in the northern portion of the Hiho claims, approximately 1.1 km northeast of the occurrence location, in an area underlain by schist and geiss. Ryan collected a east-west trending line of soil samples through the middle of his claim block and the center of  Prospector International's previously discovered arsenic anomaly. The line which extended off both ends of the claim block returned no geochemical anomalies.

In mid-Jul/2011 Ethos Capial announced that ridge and spur soil sampling carried out in the south-central portion of their claim block  had outlined a 3 square km area of anomalous gold ( up to 597 ppm) and arsenic (up to 920 ppm) called the “Buck” zone.  A grab sample of sub-crop collected 10 m north of the 597 ppm gold soil sample and consisting of silicified, pyrite-arsenopyrite-bearing felsic intrusive cut by quartz veins returned 2.1 g/t gold and 1 113 ppm arsenic. The new occurrence site marks the approximate location of this sample.  Four additional rock samples similar in composition to the first sample and collected systematically from hand excavated pits spaced 10 m apart within a 20 m by 10 m grid located adjacent to the original 597 ppm gold soil anomaly, returned anomalous arsenic values ranging from 324 ppm to 1 113 ppm, antimony from 4 to 46 ppm; mercury from 0.2 to 0.5 ppm and barium from 212 to 647 ppm.

Follow-up trenching carried out in the immediate area of the 2.1 g/t gold sample site outlined a 250 m square area containing abundant silicification, quartz veining, iron oxidation and locally relict arsenopyrite and pyrite. Prospecting carried out 600 m south of the Buck Zone uncovered an outcrop containing boulangerite (antimony-arsenic sulphide), stibnite (antimony sulphide) and arsenopyrite (arsenic sulphide).  The outcrop is located within a north-south structure that magnetic data suggests  extends from the Buck zone.

The 2011 exploration program also outlined the Mascot Creek anomaly, located approximately 4.25 km to the east (see Minfile Occurrence #115J 074).
