Work History
In Jul/2010 ATAC Resources staked a large block of ST claims (#1=YD26901) to the north, east and west of the original T claims. The Lyra showing was staked within this block of claims (ST #5 = YD26905).
In 2011 ATAC Resources carried out remote sensing studies over the entire Nadaleen trend. In 2012, ATAC Resources carried out reconnaissance scale soil sampling and covered the occurrence area.
Prospecting and soil sampling was completed in 2013 which lead to the discovery of the Lyra showing. In 2014, prospecting was completed over the showing. No further work has been recorded over the occurrence since 2014.
Geology
The occurrence area is located in east-central Yukon within an area geologists have referred to as the Rackla belt. The Rackla belt straddles the northern edge of the Selwyn basin, where Neoproterozoic to Paleozoic rocks of the basin are juxtaposed against Paleozoic and older slope and basin rocks of the Ogilvie platform along the Dawson thrust zone. Selwyn basin rocks in the occurrence area are dominated by slope and facies carbonate, clastic rocks and siltstone with significant deep water black shale and chert, whereas the Ogilvie platform is dominated by shallow water platformal carbonate.
Based on geological mapping by Colpron et al. and geologists employed by ATAC Resources the occurrence area is underlain by a sequence of off-shelf carbonate and shale rocks of Middle Devonian (Eifelian) to Upper Devonian – Lower Mississippian age that are cut by a series of regional faults. The Lyra showing is located north of the fault, within the argillite.
The Lyra showing is located approximately 1.3 km northeast of the Zodiac showing. The showing is located within a strong thallium soil anomaly. Grab samples collected while prospecting the anomaly returned assays of up to 615 g/t silver and 61.69 % lead from strongly altered dolomite containing galena veinlets up to 2 cm thick. The surfaces of the samples display antimony and lead oxide coating.
