WORK HISTORY

In Oct/2002 S. Ryan staked Sim cl 1-12 (YC21932) 10 km to the southeast and Tim cl 1-8 (YC20309) 5 km to the south. In Apr/2003 Ryan staked Steward cl 1-32 (YC23698) 2 km to the southwest and Sim cl 13-24 (YC23744) 7.5 km to the southeast. Later in the summer Ryan collected regional scale soil samples on the Steward and Sim cl 13-24 claim blocks. Ryan carried out rock and soil sampling programs on the Tim, Steward and Sim 13-24 claim blocks in 2004 and in Oct/2004 staked Stewart cl 33- 82 (YC35204) on the southeast side of the Steward claim block. The 2004 exploration programs were underwritten by Copper Ridge Explorations Inc as part of a joint venture agreement with S. Ryan that covered the Lucky Joe (Minfile Occurrence #115O 051) property located approximately 30 km to the north.

In May/2009 Ryan staked Polar cl 1-56 (YC86922) 5 km to the southwest.

Staked as Gold Cap cl 1-56 (YC94345) in Jun/2009 by Pacific Ridge Exploration Ltd. In Jul/2009 Ryan transferred the Polar, Tim, and the surviving Stewart and Sim claims to Ryanwood Exploration Inc (a private company controlled by Ryan and his wife). Ryanwood Exploration immediately optioned the claims to Pacific Ridge Exploration Ltd to form the Gold Cap/Stewart/Polar property. In August and Sep/2009 Pacific Ridge carried out soil geochemistry and geological mapping programs on their various claim blocks. In 2010 Pacific Ridge carried out further soil sampling on the Gold Cap claim block.

GEOLOGY

The geology of the Stewart River Area was remapped by J. Ryan and S. Gordey (2004) of the Geological Survey of Canada beginning in 2000 as a component of the Ancient Pacific Margin NATMAP Project. The NATMAP Project is an interagency project initiated by the Geological Survey of Canada, Yukon Geology Program (now Yukon Geological Survey) and British Columbia Geological Survey Branch to understand the composition, relationships and metallogenic of poorly understood pericratonic terranes lying between the ancestral North American margin and those known with more certainty to be tectonically accreted. The Stewart River component focuses on the Yukon-Tanana terrane, comprising complexly deformed mostly (?) Paleozoic meta-igneous and metasedimentary rocks. In 2005 S. Gordey and J. Ryan released a geological compilation map for the Stewart River area. The map units generally remained the same as the 2004 geology map but age dates were changed to reflect new dates obtained through geochronology data.

J. Ryan reported that the Stewart River area is underlain by twice-transposed, amphibolite-facies gneiss and schist of mostly (?) Paleozoic age. These are intruded by younger plutonic rocks (Jurassic, Cretaceous and Eocene) and overlain by upper Cretaceous volcanic rocks. Metasiliclastic rocks are widespread and dominated by psammite and quartzite, with lesser pelite and rare conglomerate. Preliminary detrital zircon geochronology and geochronology for plutonic rocks constrain the siliclastic rocks to the Middle Paleozoic. Amphibolite interdigitates with and stratigraphically overlies the siliclastic rocks. Marble horizons ((?) reefs) occurs within the amphibolite and siliclastic rocks. Orthogneissic rocks with diorite, tonalite and granodiorite protoliths intrude both the siliclastic and amphibole assemblages; it is interpreted as a subvolcanic intrusive complex.

According to J. Ryan and Gordey the Gold Cap, Polar, Stewart, Sim and Tim claims are underlain by Devonian to Mississippian orthogneiss derived from metaplutonic rocks that are in places merely strongly foliated, rather than truly gneissic. Protolith compositions include diorite, tonalite, granodiorite and some granite. The orthogneiss crosscuts amphibolite and metasilicate rocks in the region thus remnants of both types of rocks are likely found within the claims. Numerous mid-Cretaceous intrusions of varying size have been mapped to the south and may intrude the sequence of rocks located within the claim group.

S. Ryan staked the Sim, Tim and Steward/Stewart claims to search for copper mineralization associated with rocks similar in nature and magnetic signature as the Lucky Joe (Minfile Occurrence #115O 051) occurrence located approximately 30 km to the north. Soil sampling carried out by S. Ryan in 2003 on the Sim 13-24 claims did not outline any copper anomalies, however Ryan noted only one or two samples were collected over the theorized magnetic gradient area. Follow-up sampling in 2004 failed to uncover any anomalies. Soil sampling carried out on the Steward claims in 2003 identified several anomalous copper anomalies in the northern end of the claim block. Follow up sampling carried out in 2004 revealed an anomalous copper-iron (197.2 to 380.1 ppm copper) anomaly up to 100 m wide with a minimum 1 700 m strike length. The anomaly is open at both ends and is coincident with the regional structural fabric. Gold in soils is weakly anomalous (7-18.5 ppb gold) and patchy and appears to lie coincident with the regional trending structural fabric. Gold is not correlated with copper. Soil sampling carried out on the Tim claims in 2004 returned a high spot gold-copper anomaly grading 585.2 ppb gold and 111.5 ppm copper within a weak gold anomaly measuring 250 by 25 m and trending sub-parallel with the regional foliation. Ryan appears to have carried out a regional soil sampling program outside of the boundary of these claims the results of which he did not report for assessment credit.

Pacific Ridge Exploration optioned the Sim, Tim, Polar and Stewart claims from Ryan/Ryanwood Exploration and staked the Gold Cap claims to explore for gold mineralization similar to that identified in 2008 on Underworld Resources/Kinross Gold Corp’s White Gold property (Minfile Occurrence #115O 165 etc.) which adjoins Pacific Ridge’s claims to the west. The 2009 soil sampling program explored the east and west sides of the claim block. Nothing of substance was found on the east grid. The western grid outlined an open-ended , approximately 1 km long, northwest trending, gold soil anomaly which returned up to 291 ppm gold and 413 ppm arsenic values. The occurrence location marks the approximate centre point of the gold soil anomaly.

In 2010 Pacific Ridge carried out further soil sampling which increased the size of the gold anomaly, however the company did not publically release any location maps of the enlarged anomaly.
