Capsule

Work History

Staked as UG cl 1-32 (Y99787) in Jun/75 by Cyprus Anvil Mining Corporation, which conducted mapping and grid soil sampling later in the year.
In Jun/96, High Sense Geophysics Ltd under contract to Equity Engineering Limited flew a regional, helicopter borne, magnetic and radiometric survey over most of the Coal Creek Inlier.

Capsule Geology

The area is underlain by Lower Proterozoic Gillespie Lake Group sedimentary rocks. The occurrence consists of disseminated sphalerite mineralization with lesser amounts of galena, pyrite and/or marcasite in fracture zones and breccia cutting dolomite, minor shale and quartzite. The occurrence is related to a steep dipping fault. Grab samples returned up to 9.78 % Zn and 0.5% Pb; best soil results were up to 3100 ppm Zn and 2250 ppm Pb.
The regional airborne geophysical survey outlined numerous northeast trending features which were interpreted to be faults. No new claims were staked.
