Capsule

Work History

Staked by R. Westervelt as Nomad cl (Y33203) in Feb/70 for Lacanex Mining Compamy Ltd, which explored with aeromagnetic and ground magnetic surveys and prospecting in 1970. The northeast part of the Nomad group was restaked as KW cl (Y68999) in Feb/73 by H. Ball and T. Simmon.
Restaked within Zap cl 1-627 (YA38850) in Mar/79 by Canada Tungsten Mining Corporation Ltd, which explored with reconnaissance silt, soil and lake bottom sampling in 1979-80 and airborne mag and EM surveys in 1981.
Restaked as Mary cl 1-8 (YA83692) in Aug/87 by W. Koleba.
P. Hajek staked Ore cl 1-2 (YB65006) and Body cl 1-2 (YB65007) 3.5 km to the southeast in Sept/95. In Nov/95 W. Malicky staked Rupert cl 1-2 (YB65180) and L. Kerpaw staked Taylor cl 1-2 (YB65182) on the north side of the Ore and Body claims.

Capsule Geology

Claims cover an overburden area north of Galena Hill where intrusive stocks are suspected to occur. The Lacanex program was directed toward porphyry-type targets. Near the west margin of the Hansen Lake stock, Cantung obtained anomalous tin, tungsten and molybdenum values plus anomalous mag and EM responses, which were interpreted as possible indications of sulphide zones.
