Work History
Staked as 180 Beav cl (YA6898) in Aug-Nov/82 by Utah ML, which performed limited mapping, EM and geochemical surveys later in the 1982, extensive geochem and geophysical surveys and mapping in 1983, and 4 holes (954 m) plus more mapping in 1984.
Capsule Geology
Sphalerite and galena occur in Ord-Dev Road River shale on the northwest side of the Beaver fault. The best grades on surface were less than 1% combined Zn-Pb over sizeable intervals. Drilling tested coincident geochem and geophysical anomalies in siliceous dolomite and intersected a sequence of limestone, dolomite and mineralized porcellanite (dolomite with interlayered silty carbonate). The mineralization occurs in calcite microveinlets and disseminated in black mudstone.
